Amy Lavelle

Amy has numerous family carers in her immediate and extended family circle. She has assisted in the care needs for the affected family members over the years and has gained an understanding of the importance of external support for family carers. She began the role of project worker on our ‘Return Ready' project in October 2021 and is currently managing our Re-emerge project. Having gained her degree in Art & Design in 2014, she primarily worked in design and IT dominated roles. With the support of Care Alliance Ireland, Amy has completed training in Counselling and Psychotherapy and Mentoring for Professional Development to support her role.  

Amy has engaged in voluntary work in the not for profit sector throughout her life and is delighted to be able to combine her personal experience and professional knowledge to help support family carers in their transition back to employment and education.
