'Guiding support for family carers'

Welcome to Return Ready - Technology Skills For Family Carers

Supported by Pobal and the Department of Social Protection, the course is managed remotely by Amy.

The project is supporting 150 family carers, throughout its 14 month duration, October 2021- December 2022, to upskill/refresh their ICT (Information and communications technology) knowledge.

The aim of the project is to enable participants to feel more confident and ready to return to paid employment.

The project will run in 4 week blocks, during which, participants will have access to webinars on topics related to ICT Skills, CV Writing, Interview Skills, Wellness Workshops and Remote Working. Regular 'IT Club's' and informal 'Checks In's' will also be facilitated to offer a more informal space to ask questions and chat with peers.

In addition each participant will have access to three hours of 1-2-1 ICT tutoring and a €300 training budget to support further self development.

The pilot for 'Return Ready' began with 10 participants in October 2021, with the full course scheduled to be rolled out in January 2022.

The project worker can be contacted by email or by phone: 085 268 3589
