Laura O'Philbin

Laura joined the board in February 2022 and serves as Chair of the Research Committee. As the Research & Policy Manager at The Alzheimer Society of Ireland, she brings extensive expertise in both academic and applied dementia research. Laura holds a PhD from the Dementia Services Development Centre at Bangor University, Wales, and a BA in Psychology from University College Dublin. She has led and contributed to numerous national and international dementia research initiatives and campaigns, publishing several influential reports on the experiences of caring for and living with dementia in Ireland.
